AMG Classical is comprised of members who adhere to established classical principles in literature and art characterized by conformity to established treatments, taste, or critical standards, and by attention to form with the general effect of harmony, regularity, balance, and proportion.

AMG Classical's director, Eileen Fontanella, has a seasoned background in artistic performance, management and education.

Fontanella was approached on numerous occasions to apply her years of experience in Business Management and Financial Analysis toward specialization in arts management. Fully cognizant of enormous difficulty, the 20 years of experiencing continual struggle of presenting organizations and performing artists enhanced urgency for involvement , "We can no longer exist working under the current business model" expressed Fontanella in a roundtable discussion with PA Presenters in 2005. "We must either meet the expectations of our customers or perish". In 2007, Eileen accepted the challenge and founded AMG Classical.

"Our first entrance to the market was introducing the AMG Classical name. We needed to thoroughly embrace the elements of successful business models and apply them to our organization". And that is precisely what the mission of AMG Classical is. Studying celebrated models of self sustaining organizations, Fontanella launched the platform in Fall 2009. Applying the principles of excellence in performance, AMG Classical strives to present great performers with an established record of providing stellar performances over an extended period of years.
